Family history of Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and/or Cancer?
Have you ever thought of the relation between diet and disease?
As a food lover and southern country girl the thought had crossed my mind when my grandmother who had a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes was hospitalized for the 3rd time. Then I knew something had to change. I started cooking for her and teaching her recipes that I had saw other places so that we could eat healthier. Some she liked, some she called "rabbit food". I had been raised by her on a typical southern diet, played sports for years, and had also completed about a year of USAR training courses for a year, and at that time her health began to really take a turn for the worse. I was too late and improperly informed. Even though I knew she ate a lot of typical southern dishes which usually involve meat, dairy, and a garden vegetable. I use to think that the diseases my grandmother were genetic and that people got them from their ancestors no matter if what they ate or were physically fit. I knew I expected to have it when I got older. But I could not accept that as it was. So, I started looking for answers to at least see if that was in fact true.
Don't get me wrong, I still love food. However, what I found was that all processed meats and dairy in our diets was shortening our lives one meal at a time!
As an legal United States citizen and resident of the state of Mississippi at the time, I loved hamburgers fresh off a grill at the July 4th Celebration, a chili cheese hotdog at a football game, and especially my grandmothers rice and gravy smothered chicken dish she made with everyday chicken sold at the local Ramey's. I did not however think that on all these most highly anticipated occasions I was part of an elaborate scheme to profit off creating doubt about what is healthy and what is unhealthy.
We have been led to believe that even in a healthy diet we must include food categories such as fruits, grains, dairy, protein, and vegetables. When actually all we need are plants! PLANTS SUPPLY EVERYTHING OUR BODIES NEED! WHETHER THE ROOT, THE FRUIT, OR THE LEAF!
ALL RED MEATS ARE CANCEROUS, CHICKEN AND SEAFOOD ARE FULL OF SATURATED FAT AND CHOLESTEROL, AND CAUSES HEART DISEASE! SEAFOOD IS ALSO FULL OF MERCURY AND ANTIBIOTICS AND IT IS POISONOUS. SUGAR IS THE UNIVERSAL INFLAMMATORY! IT HAS BEEN PROVEN TIME AND TIME AGAIN! LOOK IT UP FOR YOURSELF!
OUR GRANDPARENTS ARE DYING FROM THIS, OUR PARENTS ARE SUFFERING NOW, WILL WE BE NEXT? WILL OUR KIDS BE NEXT?
Taking 15 medications 2 times a day for some people, and having side affects of all of the medications, is no way to live your life. There has been a proven link between our diets and these diseases.
I admit foods are addictive. Foods will make you feel sick when you stop eating them. You will have many symptoms of decaying, rotten, weeks old meats breaking down inside of you but stopping consuming them won't be the reason.
Detox, then eat clean, and heal yourselves!
