We as a generation must parent differently than we were parented to facilate the change we want to see in our childrens' futures. The methods will change and so may the principles and that is okay. We understand things now we never have before.

Have you ever thought of the relation between diet and disease? How about the relation between the animals we consume and our environment?

 

I focused on my family's diet because I wanted to break my family's history of numerous health diseases and other life-altering health issues. I was raised by my grandmother, in the country woods of MS after my mother was tragically killed in an auto accident in 2001. My grandmother raised my sisters and I as her own and had a extensive family history of health issues, including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and many more. I knew after watching how all 6 of the seven siblings she had all passed away at early ages from these health conditions, that I had to make a dietary change to live longer and healthier. I want to live to see my grandchildren graduate high school. I want to live well past 80. When I started focusing on my own health and the health of my family for generations to come, I could not help but to see how much we were also  hurting our natural environment. If we as a generation, do not facilitate a change in our diets and the effects our diets have on our environment, the generations after us will greatly be affected and so will our planet!
